Pricing Subscription based on annual volume processed through the system. 

There are no monthly fees, and you only pay for what you use - there's no minimum transaction processing amount. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diner's Club, and UnionPay are all included at the same rate.

  • For merchants that have their own American Express account, Braintree can pass through American Express transactions at a cost of $0.15 per transaction with no additional Braintree fees. Fee Management

Paystand offers two options, Convenience Fees and our Credit Incentivization Feature.

Convenience Fees actually passes the fee along to the payer to motivate them to move over to more cost-effective options. Majority of our customers do this and pass over a 3% fee to create an additional source of revenue to cover the cost of the monthly subscription fee.

The Credit Incentivization Feature allows you to instead offer a 1% credit on the current or next invoice if they choose to pay with Bank-to-Bank instead of CC, which would end up saving you the 1.39% you would have ended up paying had they paid through CC (originally 2.39%.)

Asia's experience doing a demo with BrainTree:

Disco: "Wow. Horrible discovery call. First of all, the rep didn’t share his screen, then he kept asking me “how much would you process with us, give me a ballpark number”. Well, I don’t know a ballpark number, but here are our goals: we want to transition away from paper checks and give our customers an easier way to pay.” Next question: what date do you want this up and running by”. Basically he didn’t ask anything about my company, and I was feeling extremely annoyed. "

  • What metrics do they use? How do they calculate their DSO or ADP, for instance? 
    • Not exactly sure what you are asking for here. I have our settlement schedule attached which might answer your questions about the funds.
  • How do they send collection/payment reminders? is it only via email, or also phone message, etc? 
    • Reminders can be setup via email on Braintree. I know a lot of merchants have emails that go out as reminders themselves or through 3rd party options as well.
  • How are disputes handled in more detail? What is the communication processes to resolve disputes?

  • Do they also have a 'wallet' where merchants can withdraw money? 
    • Funds for Braintree will go directly into the linked bank account, they are not held in a wallet like PayPal or Venmo would be.
  • Do they have a spend management tool or corporate cards? 
    • I do not believe we offer this with Braintree. PayPal offers these things but Braintree is a credit card processor not an alternative payment method. You are able to sign up for a PayPal card and use those features via the PayPal Business account.
